The compact design of this shaved ice maker is great for making cones that kids will love. However, it can get quite noisy and starts to heat up after making 7 cones in a row. I had to use a spoon to help the shaved ice fall down.

Allowing the ice cubes to sit for a few minutes before using them in the machine works well. It takes a bit of practice to get the hang of it, but once you do, it's easy to pack down the ice and finish making delicious snow cones. I want to express my gratitude to Courant products for saving my summer! My old 'snow cone' maker, which had lasted almost 20 years, broke down in June, leaving my family without a way to enjoy icy treats. Despite the noise and vibrations, I love this little unit because it delivers a great icy product using only ice cubes from our refrigerator. Although it arrived with a missing part, the seller was extremely helpful and quickly sent me the missing piece. I'm thankful to have this handy appliance to improve our hot, dry Eastern Washington summers.

This machine is a cost-effective alternative to expensive ones. Use small dishes instead of putting ice directly into the machine for finer ice and quicker results. It's better than drinking sodas and really refreshing. The dog loves the ice too. Courant flavors are good, but Monin flavors are more affordable. Enjoy!

This product is very effective and does exactly what it is supposed to do. It works especially well with ice that has been out for about 10 minutes. It's probably best with bagged ice, but I use the ice from my fridge and it works perfectly. I highly recommend it as a great and relatively healthy treat.

This slushy maker is fantastic���it's easy to use and very lightweight. It comes with two ice cups which make using it much easier. All the parts come apart and go back on easily for clean up and the next use. There is a small screw at the top of the slushy maker to lock the blade in position. I bought this for my son's 11th birthday, and living in Tennessee, I thought it would be a great way to cool off in the summer. He's also a type one diabetic, so I plan to freeze crystal light drink mix and shave it down with this for a nice low carb, no sugar treat.

This snow cone machine is the best I've found on the market for the price. It's definitely worth it and I've used it every day since my child received it as a birthday present. It can make 6 snow cones at a time and is easy to use - just plug it in, make sure it's suctioned to the counter, add ice, turn it on, and let it shave the ice. It's a bit loud, but it's so fast that I can overlook that. I use juice or soda stream flavorings to pour over the shaved ice and it makes for a great treat. If you're thinking about buying this machine, don't delay - it's definitely worth it!

I really like the ice molds that come with this product. They make it easy to shave the ice evenly. I chose this product specifically because it comes with the ice molds, and I was not disappointed. I haven't tried using ice cubes yet, but I will update after I do. I've made various flavored ice molds and stored them in the freezer for convenience. The unit is smaller and lighter than I expected, but it still functions well and fits nicely on my kitchen counter. When cleaning, be careful of the sharp blade in the bowl, which is actually part of the bottom half of the unit. The instructions for use and cleaning are very clear and easy to follow. I don't usually write reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience with this product.

My family and I purchased a snow cone machine for the summer and it was great! Despite some concerns about it being shaky and loud, it made delicious snow cones for us. I recommend purchasing extra juice, straws, and cones as the machine only comes with one cone and no juice. It occasionally goes a bit crazy with the ice, but overall it was a good purchase and arrived quickly. Best $60 I've ever spent!

I am currently 34 weeks pregnant and experiencing a severe ice craving. It is September and I couldn't find a snow cone/ice shaver in stores, so I ordered this one. I am overall pleased with it. The machine came with 4 reusable snow cones, 4 colorful straws, and a small squirtable bottle for making syrup. However, the snow cone holder shown in the photo was missing from the box. I improvised by using a big plastic cup under the chute, but it could be a hassle for those who want to use the snow cone cups. Also, the machine does not have an on/off switch, and it starts working as soon as you screw on the tip lid. I wish there was a switch to give more time to get the cup situated, especially when using a cone. The instructions recommend using slightly melted ice cubes. The machine can hold about 6 large ice cubes and makes about 1 snow cone at a time. It meets my needs, but if I intended to use it for children, I would likely be upset about the missing snow cone holder.
