Quality Excellent Product
Review by Bonna R / (Posted on 5/15/2024)This is a family-owned and operated American company. This hand-operated juicer works perfectly, is easy to clean, and incredibly sturdy. Don't buy a cheaper alternative; this will last a lifetime and beyond. -
Quality Great Juicer
Review by Dynasty / (Posted on 5/8/2024)I love it and I'm glad I bought it. -
Quality Impressive and Practical
Review by MGM / (Posted on 4/24/2024)We've had this juicer for a couple of weeks and love it. I bought this juicer for my wife because she has issues with her hands that make it difficult for her to use most manual juicers. This juicer is similar to an industrial one we saw a street vendor use in Jerusalem 30+ years ago. We were impressed with the street vendor's equipment, and we are impressed with the Zulay Cast-Iron Heavy Duty Professional Citrus Squeezer. The long handle provides leverage to squeeze citrus without hand strain. We like that all parts in contact with the fruit are stainless steel and easy to clean. We have an orange tree and are making better use of the fruit now. If you have the counter space or storage room, we highly recommend this juicer. -
Quality Impressed with this Juicer!

Quality Elegant and Functional

Quality Thrilled My Wife Wanted This for Christmas
Review by Bradley / (Posted on 4/2/2024)My wife asked for a press juicer for Christmas, and I'm thrilled she did. I use it more than anyone and would buy one for myself knowing what I know now. These are essential. One package of grapefruits, and my weekend is made. -

Quality Extracts Every Drop
Review by Michael / (Posted on 3/10/2024)This sturdy workhorse extracts juice from citrus fruits effortlessly, squeezing out every drop with less mess. Cleanup is easy. A drip tray would be great, but a cleanup cloth works fine. -
Quality Requires Two Hands for Stability
Review by Jago / (Posted on 3/4/2024)This squeezer is very effective but needs both hands for stability. -
Quality Effective but Needs Enhancements
Review by elaine / (Posted on 2/19/2024)I use a lot of lemons and needed something practical and affordable. This juicer works well but has some drawbacks. It's not very stable when applying pressure to the handle, causing it to tip forward and spill juice. You need to find a way to hold the back down. Also, you need good arm strength to fully compress the handle. Apply pressure slowly at first to avoid juice spraying everywhere. The strainer doesn't catch all the pulp or small seeds, so I have to strain the juice each time. Cleaning is simple, but I wish the top was more accessible as it gets juice inside. Overall, it does its job and doesn't take up much counter space. -
Quality Excellent Orange Press
Review by Dee / (Posted on 2/10/2024)Works as advertised. I love it. -
Quality Superior to Hand Juicers
Review by DMarie / (Posted on 2/9/2024)My hands aren't as strong as they used to be. I bought this after reading the reviews. It was the best decision for juicing citrus fruits. I haven't tried pomegranates yet. -
Quality Outstanding Juicer!
Review by Rick / (Posted on 2/9/2024)The moment I received this fantastic product, I had to try it. I unpacked and washed the strainer parts, then cut several lemons. It worked brilliantly. I've used electric and manual juicers, but this one is superior! In 4 minutes, I squeezed over 8 lemons and made lemonade. To prevent slipping, use it on a tabletop. Softer rubber feet would be beneficial. Overall, it's a solid 5-star product. I will purchase more products from this company. -
Quality Fastest Pomegranate Juicer
Review by painted / (Posted on 1/22/2024)We have pomegranates in our yard and bought this juicer specifically for them. We LOVE it. We also use it for citrus. It's quick, easy to clean, and the color is fun on our countertop. -
Quality Absolutely Awesome!
Review by miranda / (Posted on 1/19/2024)It was an impulse buy while browsing Amazon. I use a lot of lemon juice in recipes and dreaded squeezing it. All I can say is IT IS AWESOME. I have no regrets. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I got the pink one on sale. SWEET color! -
Quality My Go-To Kitchen Gadget
Review by Mark Br / (Posted on 1/18/2024)I've had this for a couple of weeks now and use it every morning. I had to tighten one of the bolts with the included wrench, but otherwise, it has been trouble-free. If it loosens again, I'll use loctite blue on the threads to fix it. The press works as describedideal for a family kitchen, not a commercial one. It does a great job squeezing citrus and is easy to disassemble and clean. Just twist the juicer assembly to remove from the base, separate the two pieces, rinse, and wipe down the base. It's quick and easy. It requires two hands to operateone for the handle and one to stabilize the unit. I recommend it but don't give it a perfect score because it's not a heavy-duty professional unit and requires two hands to operate. Still, it's a great addition to my kitchen, although I might spend more on fresh citrus! -
Quality Sturdy and Effective Juicer
Review by Amazon / (Posted on 1/13/2024)This is a great squeezer with heavy cast parts and good weight for the job. The only issue was the stamped metal funnel. While squeezing lemons, I got a sharp sting from a needle-like shaving on the rim that went into my thumb. These shavings are dangerous and need better quality control. I filed them off the rim, but it's something to be aware of. When I informed Zulay, they promptly offered a refund. Their customer service, especially Ann, was excellent. Despite the issue, Zulay's customer service showed they stand behind their products, and I would recommend them. -
Quality Highly Efficient Citrus Juicer
Review by Matt Re / (Posted on 1/2/2024)I've wanted a citrus juicer like this for a while, so I was really excited to order it. I got the cream color. It's a GREAT juicer. Solid, efficient, and easy to use. The rinds were EMPTY. I was pleasantly surprised by how much juice it produced. My only complaint is that the enamel paint wasn't perfect. But, that's definitely not a dealbreaker for me. -
Quality The Ultimate Juicer!
Review by Dee Smi / (Posted on 11/24/2023)I love how quickly this juicer processes lemons, cutting my juicing time by more than half and extracting virtually every drop. The solid construction suggests it will last a lifetime. It's easy to set up and use immediately. Cleaning is mostly straightforward, but ensure the handle is fully down when wiping it. Don't make the mistake I did of having the handle swing down toward your head! Minor gripes: there are no rubber feet, so it slides on the counter during lever swings. A rubber mat or future upgrade with rubber feet would help. The handle has a decent weight, so if not guided up, it can drop back down. A restriction to prevent free fall would be nice. Despite these, this juicer exceeded my expectations. I initially thought I'd return it, but I ended up loving it. My lemon cheesecakes will be easier to make, and I plan to try juicing pomegranates soon. Hoping that experience is just as pleasant and inspires new dessert creations! -
Quality Transform Orange Tree Harvest into Fresh Juice
Review by Lisa E / (Posted on 3/25/2023)Living in Tucson, we have fresh citrus most of the year. Picking is easy; peeling is hard. I've damaged my nails and tried many peelers, but the fresh juice benefit eluded me, leading to wasted oranges. We either have none when out of season or too many going to waste. The non-electric hand juice press changed this. It effortlessly turns fresh oranges into delightful juice. No more damaged nails or ineffective peelers. This juicer is easy to clean. I bought the black one, and it had an odor like burning plastic initially. The smell diminished over three weeks and is now nearly gone. Don't let the initial smell deter you; it disappears. This hand-operated device is invaluable in a health-focused kitchen. Cleaning is simple: remove the two shiny metal parts and wash. Rotate the inner part to easily separate them for cleaning. It's dishwasher safe too. Even without electricity, we can enjoy fresh juice. This simple, beautifully designed juicer is a must-have. I wish I had bought one sooner. -
Quality The Best Citrus Extractor for Home Use
Review by Richard / (Posted on 3/9/2023)NOTE: This is the first time I have 1) received an item from Amazon, 2) unboxed it, 3) used it, and 4) immediately reviewed it. It's THAT good. There was a pleasant surprise in the box: a statement that said: This product is guaranteed for life and, if you are ever dissatisfied, we will replace it or refund you and, you will not have to go to the post office. That is real confidence by a manufacturer, and it is warranted. This is a heavy unit, and it needs to be to perform well. Some reviews suggest stabilizing it with your second hand while squeezing. This led me to believe you'd need a firm second grip on the tool. Not so. Your second hand is mostly insurance for rare balance disturbances. This tool requires a fair amount of strength. It is not difficult for me, as a guy, to use it, but my small wife could not activate the lever. So, unless there's a guy or a stronger female in your home, or you use it when friends are visiting, I couldn't recommend it. Aside from that, buy it. Seriously, buy it. I squeezed five medium/large limes yielding over a cup of juice. The best way is 1) squeeze the half fruit, 2) lock the machine in place (this happens automatically when the lever reaches its full stroke), and 3) let the pressure push out the remaining drips for 15 seconds. I doubt this machine would work on grapefruits the contact parts seem too small. But it will handle lemons, limes, and at least medium oranges. My primary use is extracting juice for marinades, and this machine excels at that. For those with arthritis or aging hands: PLEASE don't use hand citrus squeezers. Buy this machine and give the included hand tool to your children. Also, buy several types of jar and lid openers and use them always, especially for water bottles they are very hard on your wrists. -
Quality Durable and Reliable
Review by michael / (Posted on 5/13/2021)Got this next-day - nothing like instant gratification. It arrived double-boxed, plus Amazon's shipping box, though Amazon's tape just barely held. Due to its size and weight, Amazon should triple-tape it. I just used it this morning, so I will update my rating over time if necessary. First, why I bought this. I have a very nice Omega Juicer that I've been pleased with for over a decade, but it's overkill and time-consuming for quick lemon or orange juicing and cleanup. It's excellent for a lot of juicing, but not for quick one-offs like this citrus press. Recently, I decided to dump sodas in favor of iced lemon-water and drink a mixture of lemon/olive oil/honey in hot water in the morning. As I get older, I want something quicker and easier to use. After checking reviews on competing products, I found Zulay had more high ratings, so I bought it. I liked the build quality and considered the pros and cons in reviews. I was afraid of buyer's remorse, but I became convinced it was exactly what I needed and I'd actually use it. Pros: 1. It's easy to clean the removable stainless steel parts. Just turn to unlock them and they come right out. If you have a sprayer, that might be all you need. 2. They don't intend for you to remove the upper aluminum cone: just spritz it with water and wipe it off. Easy. 3. It does take a little more effort than I expected to finish squeezing the press, but it's not bad. I'm pushing 70 and I can do it. 4. It appears to be built to last a lifetime. It's solidly made. I love things that look over-built. 5. I bought the "gray" cast iron look instead of the painted ones. I'm not confident of any paint on surfaces where food comes in contact, and my taste or kitchen colors might change. I like the industrial/commercial look. I'd avoid chrome as underlying steel or cast iron can rust in a wet kitchen environment with citrus acid. 6. I didn't realize it had a lifetime warranty. I like that, even though "lifetime" usually means the company's lifetime. It gives me confidence that the company stands behind their product. Just register it. 7. Pomegranates! I'm looking forward to trying this. Some reviews suggest it's good for this fruit. Cons: 1. Zulay should include a cheap Allen wrench to adjust the screws. Mine arrived a little loose, and it may take time to adjust the screws for ease of travel without flopping down. Ease of travel vs. press difficulty requires the Allen wrench. 2. It will tip unless you use your other hand to steady the rear of the base. I don't find this a big deal, and it's not much effort to steady it. Suction cups might help, but they can be inconvenient if the press doesn't have a permanent counter spot. Mine will stay out at home, but it needs to move when not in use for camping. 3. Zulay should make the upper press cone stainless steel and removable. This could be a notch-and-turn like the bottom pieces. I'm not comfortable with aluminum and food, plus aluminum warps easily if stressed. However, the cone is designed for fruit tops and not likely to warp, and it's only in contact with the fruit top, which you'll likely discard. 4. Another reviewer mentioned misalignment. It is misaligned at the top of the travel until pressing on the fruit, then it's almost perfectly aligned. So, yes it is, but no, it isn't. None of these cons are worth taking a star off for. Taken altogether, I might take a half-star off for them. But none of them are deal-killers or make me wish I'd bought something else. If you're in the market for a citrus or pomegranate press and think you'll use it a lot, it's worth the investment. I intend to use mine twice daily, and now that I've bought it, I need to justify the expense. -
Quality Consider Investing in a Better Model
Review by 26Lette / (Posted on 11/21/2020)I bought this product because I had an abundance of freshly picked pomegranates that I didnt want to waste. Here are my thoughts: 1. It's very easy to use, requiring less force once you get used to the lever. 2. It produces a LOT of juice, especially useful for pomegranates and fresh Valencia oranges. Two oranges can yield 5-8 oz. of juice. 3. It's VERY easy to clean. I wash the parts with soap and water, but you can rinse the removable parts. Always wash the upper dome with a sponge, soap, and water. You may want a measuring cup to capture drops while juicing. What I dislike: 1. It's "tippy." The press can tip forward if too much force is applied. You need to hold the bottom-rear steel rod to keep it steady. 2. The dome design directs pressure to the middle, which can make pomegranate juice bitter and leave some seeds intact. You need to be creative with fruit positioning to get the most juice. Overall, I would recommend saving for a better-designed, more efficient model. However, if you don't mind the minimal waste, this product still yields a lot of juice. -
Quality Acknowledge the Critiques, Still a Huge Fan
Review by Amy & S / (Posted on 6/17/2020)We bought this a few months ago and waited until we juiced a few hundred fruits to write a review. Here are our thoughts and insights on other reviews: It works exactly as advertisedwe've juiced limes, lemons, oranges, and even tried non-citrus fruits. You get a high yield, and if you strain it after juicing to remove pulp and slight pith, it's perfect. We're big fans, but here are some things to consider: 1) It's heavyabout 15lb/0.45kg, so consider storage and access. We store ours on top of the fridge, so only one of us can handle it. 2) It's very sturdy, but you need to place a free hand firmly on the juicer to prevent it from tilting forward when pulling the lever in a forward arc. Shorter users may struggle with this. Zulay, please consider adding more weight/stability to the rear in future models. 3) The lever is heavy and sturdy. While some worry about safety if left upright, it's slightly balanced more than 90 degrees in the other direction, so falling forward likely results from bumps, not gravity. Be careful, but we're not overly concerned. 4) You don't need to be very strong to use it. It's heavy to move, and you need to hold it steady, but even non-athletic people can press through the fruit. 5) Cleanliness and CleaningSmall amounts of juice may spray out, so either slow down to contain it or be prepared to wipe up. The press has three main pieces to clean: the steel press and the two base pieces (cone-like piece and funnel). The base pieces are easy to clean, but the press attached to the unit is harder. 6) We've heard about paint chipping on some units, but we haven't seen it. It might be defective units or citrus acid causing chipping over time. Our hands are less cramped, we're juicing more limes faster, and we freeze lime juice in ice cube trays for future use. Thanks, Zulay! Great job on this one!
