This small panini press is just what I was searching for. I do wish it was a little larger, though. The quality is good and it does exactly what I need it to. The top plate doesn't get as hot as the bottom, but it still works well. If you want the sandwich really crispy, just flip it over. Overall, it works great and is worth the price.

My son had been wanting a panini press for a long time, and I finally decided to get one because I liked that it can also be used for grilling. He was thrilled to receive it and has been using it almost every day to make his own sandwiches. It's very easy to clean and the lid doesn't get as hot as the bottom, but that's not a problem. This appliance lacks temperature control, so the bread can easily burn before the inside is hot. The top doesn't heat as evenly as the bottom, resulting in uneven cooking. I didn't realize there would be no way to adjust the temperature. The on/off function is simply plugging it in or unplugging it. Cleaning is difficult due to the design, despite the fact that food doesn't stick. The appliance also gets hot to the touch, so it's important to keep it out of reach of children.

I am extremely disappointed with this garbage product. I tried to cook 4 pieces of bread and they all came out burned in the center and undercooked on the edges. The same happened with bacon - the outer edges were not cooked while the inside was approaching burned. I don't understand the positive reviews for this product. The manufacturer completely overlooked the importance of even cooking. I will be returning this product.

This Panini press has been great for making a variety of sandwiches. It's very simple to use and clean, and it always results in a perfect panini. I also like that it opens all the way, which makes me think I could use it to grill steak or veggies (although I haven't tried that yet). It's easy to fold and store in my cabinet, although I do wish it had a clip to keep it closed when not in use. Overall, I'm happy with it and would purchase it again if needed.

This product does not have an on/off switch, you simply plug it in. It has two lights - one to indicate power on and the other to indicate maximum temperature. To increase searing, you can put down the lid or press it down. It is not easy to clean as it does not come apart, and the grooves are deep, causing grease to adhere to the top and bottom. Some of the grease also goes into a small trap at the back. However, for its cost, ease of use, simplicity, and compact size, it works well for me.

I would have purchased a larger size as I prefer bigger, sourdough type bread. It works well but needs some extra effort to clean, not quite as easy as advertised. It doesn't produce the grilled look as shown in the ads and takes longer to cook than stated. There is also an oily smell. It's easy to press down the top and stores well, but I decided to return it because it took too long and seemed more like a gimmick than a genuinely useful tool. I can make a grilled cheese faster in a frying pan!

Upon opening the box, my initial impression of this product was not great. The lid squeaks and feels lightweight, making it unstable when putting pressure on it. I have not used it yet, so I will update my review later. While I have been able to make some good sandwiches with it, I do not feel that it is worth the price. The sandwich press I had before could only cut the bread into triangles, but this grill is far superior. It can accommodate normal square bread and can fit at least 2 large sandwiches with room to spare. It also works well for making panini-style sandwiches with French bread or similar. The grilled cheese it makes is amazing. While I wouldn't use it for grilling meat, it's perfect for making sandwiches and you won't be disappointed.

This press gets the job done but comes with some issues to be aware of. It doesn't have an on/off switch, so keep it near a plug if you plan on using it for an extended period of time. It also doesn't have temperature settings or heat zoning, so you won't be able to do any specialty cooking with it. It's not recommended for use as a griddle due to the risk of a grease fire. However, it does make great thick toasted sandwiches. Just make sure to use a utensil to position the free floating top to prevent your sandwiches from getting smeared. With some practice, it's decent for the price, but I'm in the market for an upgrade.

However, I have since updated my review to add another star because Courant's customer service was very prompt in replacing the product. I hope the new toaster holds up better than the original. It worked well and was a great value until the spring holding the top in place broke. Hopefully, the replacement will be more durable.

I was really looking forward to using this as a replacement for my George Foreman grill, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. Cleaning it after grilling steak was a hassle, and it didn't adjust well to the height of the bread when making sandwiches. I had to constantly push the sandwich in to keep it from being pushed out of the press. The George Foreman grill made better grilled cheese sandwiches and steak. This new grill runs too hot and doesn't give me the pressed sandwich result I was hoping for.

The product served its purpose overall, but I was disappointed with the short cord which needs to be at least 15 inches to allow for adequate space between the appliance and the wall when plugged in. I also did not like that there was only one setting, and I wish the plates were removable for better cleaning. I gave it a 4-star rating because I experienced the lid slamming closed on my hand twice when I had it up to place food inside.

The Courant Electric Panini Press Grill offers good value for the price, but it has a few drawbacks. The claim that it is adjustable for any sandwich size is not entirely accurate, as it can be difficult to keep larger sandwiches in place. The lid does not float well and requires some effort to get it to grill the top of the sandwich. Additionally, it is messy and time-consuming to clean. While it grills nicely and gets very hot, I do not recommend it for paninis. Overall, I would suggest investing in a better sandwich maker.

I recently discovered that the unit can be stood on its end and has feet on the bottom. I use it with the feet extended so that the grease drips towards the back into the drip pan. The instructions advised a trial run for 10 to 15 minutes with it closed to prevent smoking, which I did. Although it still smokes, it doesn't seem to be a major issue after using it about six times. Initially, it ran a little hot and I had to keep a close eye on it, but it has improved with more use. I always stand next to it and wait for the green light before taking the sandwich out, which has made the process easier. The unit also has a floating top, allowing for thicker pieces of bread or sandwiches. However, multiple sandwiches must be the same thickness. The temperature cannot be adjusted, and it must be turned off or on using the plug, but this has not been a problem for me. I hope is helpful to others!

I've had this panini press for just over a week and have used it several times already. I enjoy using it, but I have noticed that the right side of the press heats up more than the left side. This causes the right side of the sandwich to cook faster and get closer to burning before the left side is as browned as I'd like. I could return it and get a new one, but I'm not sure if the same issue would occur. For now, I just have to keep an eye on it and rotate the sandwich when the right side is almost done to ensure even cooking. It's a minor inconvenience, but other than that, the panini press works great.

I purchased this panini maker with high hopes due to its ability to open 180���� and act as a grill. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Despite trying different cooking methods and adjusting the ingredients, the sandwiches consistently turned out burnt on the outside and cold on the inside. The grill feature also did not meet my expectations, as it failed to cook food to a safe temperature. On a positive note, the panini maker was easy to clean. However, the lack of temperature control ultimately made this product a letdown for me.

I decided to buy the Cuisinart Griddler because I was tired of struggling to clean our old grill with fixed plates. It was always a hassle to get it clean. But with the Cuisinart, our first meal was a breeze to clean up. The removable grill plates were easy to pop out and clean in the sink. I also love that the top flips open to double the grilling space and that the griddle plates can be used for items like pancakes. The adjustable temperature control is a great feature, and it's quick to cook additional food if needed. It's the perfect size for my family of 3 and doesn't take up much counter space. I wish it was a little bigger, but overall I love this grill and would definitely recommend it.

I am extremely satisfied with this product. The ability to easily change the grill surfaces and clean them, as well as the accurate temperatures and great results with cooking, have exceeded my expectations. The images of spatters on the poster do not accurately depict the product's performance. I have not encountered any issues at all.
