Quality Excellent coffee grinder!
Review by Blue / (Posted on 2/7/2024)This product has been working well for me every day for many years! -
Quality Functions effectively up to now.
Review by Zid / (Posted on 1/31/2024)The grinder is functioning effectively. The red trigger button does not always align with the correct notch to activate the machine automatically, so I need to ensure it is in the proper position before pushing on it. -
Quality Top-quality ground coffee
Review by Jan / (Posted on 1/10/2024)This coffee grinder produces consistently perfect grounds with ease and speed, while also minimizing mess. It is a significant improvement over my previous grinder. -
Quality Ideal for me
Review by Bec / (Posted on 12/16/2023)This is my first experience grinding my own coffee beans and I'm loving it! I discovered a local home-based coffee bean roaster and it has really made a difference in my coffee game. I highly recommend this grinder. I chose the red color and it's really beautiful. -
Quality Spice grinder
Review by MIKE / (Posted on 12/11/2023)Used to grind my dehydrated Trinidad scorpion peppers. For some reason the wife didn't want me to use her spice grinder. This worked to finely grind the pepper into a lethal powder. -
Quality Effortless yet Efficient
Review by Donna / (Posted on 12/9/2023)This grinder is simple to use with just an on and off switch. It's great for grinding whatever you need and is both efficient and affordable. -
Quality Awesome Product
Review by EBun / (Posted on 12/9/2023)This was purchased specifically for grinding flax seeds and it works great for that. I haven't tried grinding anything else with it, so I can't speak to its performance in that regard. -
Quality Functions perfectly
Review by Stephen / (Posted on 11/22/2023)I used this grinder at an airbnb and found it to be very user-friendly and effective. I was so impressed that I ordered one for myself before I even left so I could use it right away at home. It's an excellent grinder and very easy to clean. -
Quality Tranquil enough
Review by Mickey / (Posted on 11/17/2023)This coffee grinder is incredibly user-friendly and easy to clean. It can be disassembled and cleaned with minimal effort. It takes only seconds to open and grind your whole coffee beans, making the process super fast. I highly recommend it. -

Quality Shake the unit while grinding for a smooth result
Review by Honora / (Posted on 10/28/2023)The exterior texture provides a better grip, but the lid doesn't fit securely. You'll need to hold it firmly to prevent spills. This grinder seems best for beginners, and it's a plus that it comes in a cute red color. -
Quality Compact yet fantastic grinder
Review by Jason / (Posted on 10/17/2023)This grinder performs well and is not noisy. However, it is smaller than expected, only fitting about 8 spoonfuls of coffee beans at a time. It is great for those who like to grind coffee just before brewing, but not ideal for those who need to grind larger quantities. It only has one grind setting, so you'll need to adjust the grind time for your desired coarseness. Overall, I am happy with the product. -
Quality Adore my tiny Courant
Review by CeeCee / (Posted on 10/10/2023)I love using this Courant grinder to cook all my meals. It's so easy to grind bulk spices like coriander, fennel, fenugreek, and peppercorns. Cleaning is a breeze with a damp towel or by using the squishy white bread trick. I used my last grinder for years until the motor burnt out, but I quickly replaced it with another one. The red color is perfect for my kitchen. -
Quality grinder appears good, functions effectively
Review by K / (Posted on 9/4/2023)I bought this cute little grinder in red and it looks great on my counter. It grinds the beans quickly and evenly and is pretty quiet. The only downside is the static build-up during grinding, as other reviewers have mentioned. It can get messy when you open the lid with the ground coffee sticking to the sides and lid. I usually tap the lid a few times before opening to try and knock some of it off. However, overall I'm happy with my purchase and think the price is reasonable. It's a good smaller size, quiet, lightweight yet feels sturdy. The available color options are a nice change from the usual black, white or stainless steel appliances. -
Quality Functions effectively and aesthetically pleasing in my kitchen
Review by Diane / (Posted on 8/16/2023)The light color is fantastic. -
Quality Compact coffee mill
Review by Casie / (Posted on 8/11/2023)The size is perfect and it grinds really well. I have no complaints. -
Quality Compact but Mighty Grinder.
Review by Laura / (Posted on 7/27/2023)This grinder is perfect for everyday use. -
Quality Cost Plus Benefit Equals 10
Review by Thomas / (Posted on 7/16/2023)This item is great, attractive, and user-friendly. -
Quality User-friendly and reliable for making consistent ground coffee.
Review by JB / (Posted on 4/25/2023)The Courant Electric Blade Grinder is a compact and sleek addition to any kitchen decor. Its modern white color and easy storage make it a great space-saving solution. This powerful grinder quickly and consistently grinds coffee beans to a medium-fine grind, suitable for various brewing methods. It's also easy to clean, with fewer parts to worry about. Overall, I highly recommend this grinder to coffee lovers looking for a convenient and cost-effective way to enjoy freshly ground coffee at home. -
Quality great grinder
Review by Steph / (Posted on 4/6/2023)I really enjoy using this grinder. It's so convenient and efficient, and it looks great too. I'm very satisfied with my purchase. -
Quality Sturdy small pulverizer
Review by Sunshine / (Posted on 3/30/2023)This grinder works great for coffee, but I have an issue with the motor button not always engaging properly. I have to jiggle the top until it works. However, I like the design and that the cord can be stored in the plastic housing. -
Quality Superb small grinder
Review by Tomato / (Posted on 3/29/2023)This coffee/grain mill is very convenient and user-friendly. I like using it. -
Quality Simple to operate and dependable,
Review by Juan / (Posted on 3/19/2023)I appreciate the simplicity and reliability of this brand, and it's easy to clean. -
Quality Nice Grinder.
Review by Vicki / (Posted on 3/15/2023)I like this grinder, does not take up too much room and the color is perfect. -
Quality New: It's all good
Review by Miriam / (Posted on 3/13/2023)the price is fair. The top works fine, but the coffee does stick in the ball after grinding and needs to be removed with a finger or spoon each time. However, for the low price, it does the job. -
Quality It works very well!
Review by Roxanne / (Posted on 3/8/2023)I was looking all over for an affordable, but efficient coffee grinder until I stumbled upon this one. Although the vibrant colors and attractive design were what initially caught my eye, I decided to trust the few reviews on this one and get it. Two months in, the product has no issues grinding coffee beans on the occasion.
The grinder can only hold about a 1/4 cup of beans and pulses with each press(You might need to do several pulses to get everything ground up), so this is enough for about 1 standard cup of coffee. The only thing that may be an issue for some users is cleaning the insides of the plastic cover. It's hard to reach and you'll need some sort of brush to get rid of any excess ground. Aside from that, this cute and simple grinder does it's job at a great price! -
Quality Surprisingly great
Review by johnny / (Posted on 3/8/2023)Love it . It's great on whole herds -
Quality Works great for Spices
Review by AZ / (Posted on 3/3/2023)Perfect size to sit in the corner and love how easy it is to use. -
Quality Ideal
Review by Melissa / (Posted on 2/23/2023)This product is simply amazing. It's user-friendly, functions perfectly, and I'm absolutely delighted with it. I would definitely suggest it to anyone. -
Quality Charming little grinder - still going strong after 3.5 years!
Review by Colleen / (Posted on 2/20/2023)I am very impressed with the performance of this grinder. I purchased it in July 2019 and have been using it regularly since then, often making coffee every morning. While it may not be a top-of-the-line product, it is perfect for anyone looking to grind whole beans. I chose this grinder for my apartment due to its compact size, as I didn't want something bulky taking up space on my countertop. It is also conveniently portable, as I often take it with me when staying at an Airbnb for the weekend. After 3 and 1/2 years of use, I have noticed that the blades are starting to wear down, but given the amount of use, I would happily purchase this grinder again. -
Quality Perfecto para casa o trabajo
Review by Juan / (Posted on 2/17/2023)This product is perfect for coffee lovers. It's an ideal gift and of good quality. -
Quality Excellent performance - not a burr grinder
Review by Colleen / (Posted on 1/20/2023)The grinder worked for us, but my husband is particular about the consistency of the grind and doesn't feel like it meets his standards. We will be giving it to someone else and purchasing a different grinder. -
Quality Worth the effort
Review by Michelle / (Posted on 1/18/2023)This coffee grinder performs well, grinding beans smoothly with about seven presses. It takes twice as long as my previous grinder, but it's not a significant inconvenience. I use a brush to clean it, and it looks great on the counter. I usually store it in the cupboard. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. -
Quality Adorable, uncomplicated and effective
Review by Menino / (Posted on 1/13/2023)I purchased this coffee grinder as a Christmas gift for my husband, who is a coffee enthusiast. He absolutely loved it. I chose the black model with the red button because I thought the design was attractive. The rubber texture provides a comfortable and secure grip. The pulse button is very user-friendly, requiring only a gentle press to grind anything. We have used it for both coffee beans and nutmeg seeds, producing beautifully fine grinds for espresso, Italian, and Spanish-style coffee. The only improvement I would suggest is including a small brush for cleaning the inside, but overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase and would buy it again. -
Quality Simple, reliable coffee grinder
Review by Raleigh / (Posted on 1/12/2023)I chose a coffee grinder with a rotary blade because it grinds beans more evenly. I only need to grind enough for one mug and didn't want a bigger one. Some grinders don't work well for small amounts, but this one works fine and is compact. -
Quality Creating a perfect cup of coffee takes a lot of effort
Review by Carlos / (Posted on 12/27/2022)The grinder takes more pulses than expected to grind coffee beans, but considering its price and size, it still gets the job done. -
Quality Excellent small coffee bean grinder
Review by Susan / (Posted on 12/23/2022)This mini coffee grinder is excellent for small quantities of beans, but it can create static that causes some grinds to stick to the lid and the grinder. Overall, I would give it a 5-star rating if not for that issue. -
Quality Excellent hue and fit,
Review by Hannah / (Posted on 12/16/2022)This grinder is just the right color and size for me, and it has a very chic look. The noise level is slightly better compared to the Hamilton Beach model I've tried, but it's fairly standard for this type of product. It functions well and I have no complaints - I would definitely recommend it to a friend! -
Quality Grinder cup is difficult to clean,
Review by Sarah / (Posted on 11/18/2022)The grinder cup is difficult to remove and clean. -
Quality Best for a blade grinder
Review by Paul / (Posted on 11/14/2022)This grinder is a good value for the money. I bought it to make fresh ground coffee for my French Press. I found that two 4-second grinds work well for French Press coffee. In the future, I might invest in a burr grinder that can be adjusted for the very best results. Sometimes I have to adjust the top before it activates. -
Quality Elegant Stylish Mill
Review by Jonathan / (Posted on 10/18/2022)It works well but it takes too long to grind all the beans for 16 oz. There is also some residue from the oily beans. The sound is better than the Krups but it still grinds slow. The Krups is faster but leaves more residue so it's the backup option. -
Quality JR
Review by julius / (Posted on 9/29/2022)Great grinder for anything that should be grounded Blade is very durable -
Quality Crushes It
Review by Kelli / (Posted on 9/11/2022)I bought this grinder for my French press and it works perfectly. I only need to grind my beans twice for about 4 seconds each time to get a coarse grind. It's consistently great. -
Quality Easy
Review by Denisecarlson / (Posted on 8/20/2022)Have had it for awhile now, use daily..no issues -
Quality Inconsistent grinding but good value
Review by Bobby / (Posted on 8/17/2022)I use this daily to grind 2 tablespoons of coffee, and even at that low level, the grind is inconsistent. There are fine powder and coarse grind portions. I think it may be due to the small quantity of beans I use. If I grind less to have less fine powder, then I end up with large chunks. However, it's a good deal and I appreciate the safety feature where only the button pushes a hidden trigger that can't be accidentally activated unless something like a paperclip is inserted. -
Quality A basic grinder that works great
Review by Scarlet / (Posted on 8/5/2022)The clear top of this grinder is really helpful for monitoring the coffee bean grinding process. It's a high-quality grinder with a unique button that is easy to figure out. The sound level is moderate, and I appreciate the solid and sturdy construction for the price. -
Quality great
Review by Jhoan / (Posted on 8/4/2022)This grinder is a good option if you're not a coffee connoisseur and just need a basic one. However, there are definitely better quality grinders available. -
Quality As a holder since 2012...
Review by Danforth / (Posted on 7/26/2022)This machine has performed well despite being used to grind many kilograms of beans. However, after several years, the rubber grip has become unpleasantly sticky and gross, and cleaning it hasn't helped. -
Quality Efficiently grinds coffee beans
Review by Satisfied / (Posted on 7/17/2022)The flavor of the coffee depends on the type of beans used. It grinds the beans to powder with just a few taps on top, but only grinds about 2 tablespoons at a time. If you try to grind more, the hot water may cause the grinds to spill over the sides. It is easy to clean with just a napkin, no need to run it under water. It works well for both decaf and regular grind beans, and it's small enough to fit nicely on the countertop. Really makes the ground beans smell delicious. -
Quality Works perfectly!
Review by rachel / (Posted on 7/14/2022)I purchased the red grinder to match my kitchen decor and it looks even brighter in person. I also bought the warranty for added protection. So far, this product is great for the price. It grinds quickly and easily, making enough beans for 6 cups of strong coffee at a time. I just have to refill it to make a full 12-cup pot, but it doesn't bother me because it works quickly. -
Quality Wondrous tiny crusher
Review by KStorm / (Posted on 6/8/2022)The Courant grinder has been a reliable and efficient tool for me. It works perfectly and grinds everything with ease. It's also simple to use, clean, and store. -
Quality grinder malfunctioning
Review by Mariano / (Posted on 5/23/2022)The coffee grinder had a problem initially, but I fixed it by addressing the power source issue. Now it works fine, although it can grind the coffee too much at times. -
Quality Room for improvement. Could improve further.
Review by Gabriel / (Posted on 5/20/2022)The grinder is simple to use and quickly grinds beans in just 10-15 seconds. However, it is not very easy to clean and the on/off mechanism is not my favorite. I have concerns about the small contact pin, as it seems fragile and could potentially render the grinder useless if it were to break. -
Quality Perfect for seasonings, yet to experiment with cinnamon
Review by Daniel / (Posted on 4/30/2022)This grinder is specifically used for grinding spices. It doesn't produce a very fine grind, but it gets the job done and is more convenient for me than using a pestle and mortar, especially when I need to work quickly or grind larger quantities. I haven't tested it on very hard cinnamon sticks yet. -
Quality High-quality coffee grinder
Review by Kirk / (Posted on 3/11/2022)I didn't buy this product because of reviews, but because I'm a fan of Courant. The stainless steel is stain-free, the blades are sharp, and it's easy to hold. The cord stows in the bottom and is a comfortable length. My only issue is the button on the lid, which took me a while to figure out is by design. Pushing the button out slightly and then down turns the grinder on, rather than just pushing straight down like other grinders. It seems to be a safety feature, but it's something to be aware of when using it for the first time. -
Quality Feeling like a Potent Grinder: Instructions for Use
Review by KC / (Posted on 2/26/2022)The motor on this grinder produces a high amount of torque, causing the whole unit to twist when started with just one finger. Unfortunately, the bowl with the blades is not removable, making it difficult to clean. However, the grinder is sturdy and well-made. -
Quality Simple to utilize
Review by Peter / (Posted on 2/1/2022)I purchased the Courant French press coffee maker, and then decided to buy the coffee grinder for a better tasting cup of coffee. I was very happy with the results - the coffee had a full flavor and I didn't need to buy expensive ground coffee. -
Quality Suitable for a blade grinder, Follow these guidelines:
Review by Sergio / (Posted on 1/7/2022)This grinder does the job well for the price and can hold a large amount of coffee grounds. It's a blade grinder, so it takes some time to get used to, but with online tutorials and practice, you'll figure it out. Overall, it's a good purchase for a budget blade grinder. -
Quality Freshly ground coffee beans are the best.
Review by Daisy / (Posted on 1/4/2022)The grinder does a great job of grinding the beans, although it can be challenging to remove the grinds from the grinder. As a solution, I simply transfer them into a Tupperware bowl. -
Quality Maneuvering required, but it works eventually.
Review by MonkeyCat / (Posted on 12/14/2020)The product functions as expected, effectively grinding coffee to the desired consistency. Adjusting the grind is easy, with a longer duration resulting in a finer grind. However, I have found it frustrating that the power button sometimes requires a lot of wiggling to activate. Overall, it is not difficult but can be bothersome. -
Quality Sturdy investment,
Review by Edward / (Posted on 11/19/2020)I have been using this coffee grinder every day since I bought it. It takes some practice to get the grind just right, but once you do, it's great. You have to listen for the right consistency rather than just look at it. I use a v60 for most of my coffee and it's amazing to see the bubbles as I pour hot water over it. I highly recommend it for the price. -
Quality Easy to use, and gets the job done
Review by Pamela / (Posted on 10/18/2020)A very basic bean/spice grinder. The bowl area could be a bit larger, and an auto shut-off would be nice. A feature that my previous unit had. -
Quality chopper
Review by Evelyn / (Posted on 10/16/2020)love my little chopper -
Quality Works perfectly!
Review by A / (Posted on 10/15/2020)During a recent trip with friends, I discovered that freshly ground coffee beans taste much better than pre-ground ones. Since then, I've been using this small coffee bean grinder daily for about 5 months and it works great. The beans I prefer are only slightly oily and don't leave much residue in the grinder, but I still wipe it out with a dry cloth once or twice a week as preventative maintenance. I highly recommend this product. -
Quality Runs extremely fast but see-through lid isn't very useful
Review by Jelita / (Posted on 10/15/2020)This coffee grinder is effective and fast, although it is a bit loud. The transparent lid is a useful feature for monitoring the grinding process, but it can become foggy from the particles. After using it for some time, I've learned to gauge the grinding time without needing to check visually. The retractable cord is convenient, but it tends to tangle easily. -
Quality Good value grinder for the price
Review by suzanne / (Posted on 10/10/2020)This coffee grinder is easy to use and quieter than my old one. I recommend grinding the coffee beans and then tipping the whole grinder upside down to disengage the lid, which holds the ground coffee. This reduces the chance of spilling the grounds on the counter when you remove the lid. Overall, it's just as described and great for the price. -
Quality Efficient, User-Friendly Yet Somewhat Disorderly
Review by SmileSaurus / (Posted on 10/3/2020)I recently bought my first coffee bean grinder after switching to fresh whole beans. It's simple to use - just plug it in, fill it with beans, close the lid, and press the button. I've tried both coarse and fine grinds and had success with both. The only downside is that some ground coffee spills out when I pour it into my French press, which is a bit annoying. -
Quality Perfect for everyday use
Review by isaac / (Posted on 9/29/2020)I do a lot of cooking. 90 percent from scratch with recipes that call for ground spices. This is a must-have for any kitchen. -
Quality Simple and Fast
Review by jordjackson / (Posted on 9/26/2020)I have found this grinder to be very nice after using it to chop many beans for brews. Its small form and sleek design look great on the counter. I chose the steel variant over plastic and am glad I did. It arrived and was pleasantly surprised that it was not faux steel, but actual metal. I like to avoid using more plastic when possible. It grinds the beans very well, but it can be annoying to clean because the grinding part does not separate from the unit. The reservoir holds about 35 grams of beans without reducing its efficacy too much. I usually only use 21 grams for two cups of coffee, so the limitation is fine for me. -
Quality Like a charm!
Review by CandyKaneGoldy / (Posted on 9/15/2020)Not loud, very powerful!!! I've made ten different spices and still just as smooth! Small but very efficient! -

Quality Does the job
Review by Charles / (Posted on 9/3/2020)This grinder does what it's supposed to and is relatively quiet. Coffee will come out very fine. There are a few tight spots to clean. -
Quality High quality item at an affordable price
Review by Book / (Posted on 9/1/2020)This grinder is perfect for my daily coffee needs. It's quick, not too loud, and the grounds are pretty even. I was thinking about getting a more expensive grinder, but I'm glad I didn't because this one works just fine. It can also be used for relatively fine ground coffee if you grind it for a few extra seconds. Plus, the cord can be wrapped up for easy storage. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great everyday grinder. -
Quality Great value
Review by Erica / (Posted on 8/24/2020)Its a bit loud, but it works great, is adorable, is fast (so the loud really doesn't matter) and is easy to clean. -
Quality As advertised
Review by Akilah / (Posted on 8/16/2020)Work as advertised -
Quality Great Product
Review by dmcvmd / (Posted on 8/12/2020)I bought this to grind up herbs that I had dehydrated. It arrived quickly and is simple to use. It works very well for my intended purpose. -
Quality Good quality, attractive grinder.
Review by Miranda / (Posted on 8/4/2020)This grinder is a good basic option for coffee. It has a nice appearance, is compact, and not very loud. The cord tucks underneath, but there is some static in the lid, causing grounds to fall out when you open it. It will also spill if filled past the fill line. The static issue varies with different coffee beans, and the bean capacity is on the small side. It works well for a French press, producing a nice coarse grind in about 11-12 seconds for a full chamber. If you're concerned about stray grounds and want a larger chamber, this may not be the best option for you. -
Quality No problem at all.
Review by Amy / (Posted on 8/2/2020)The grinder is okay, but it could be better. It grinds unevenly and the motor gets hot after extended use. It's compact, easy to use, and quiet, but I may look for a better option. -
Quality Great purchase!!
Review by Penelope / (Posted on 7/30/2020)The product ordered is what was received, works great! I would reccomend to anyone looking for the perfect spice grinder.?? -
Quality Good Purchase
Review by Jasmine / (Posted on 7/24/2020)It is a powerful device. I use it for vitamins at the moment -
Quality Grinding spices puts my cooking game on a new level
Review by Shanara / (Posted on 7/21/2020)Does exactly what it says. Just too small. I'm in love with this thing overall. Whole new world grinding my spices! -
Quality Attractive, quiet . No regrets
Review by Fulana / (Posted on 7/18/2020)Grinding my coffee in the morning. So much quieter than my current mill. -
Quality Great product!
Review by Kay / (Posted on 7/13/2020)Love this! Easy to use and does a great job on grinding beans and spices and other food items. Clean up is quick and easy and it stores nicely as well. -

Quality You reap what you sow
Review by Sorry, thegiveninstructionsarenotclearPleaseprovidespecificdetailstodeterminetheappropriateanswer / (Posted on 7/7/2020)This coffee grinder is easy to use at home, but it only grinds enough for about 2 cups of coffee. It has only one setting, so it's not suitable for pour over or drip coffee makers. I hold the button down and grind the beans for 30 seconds, but I'm not sure if it's fine enough for pour over. Considering the price, I can't really complain. -
Quality Ground the coffee beans to the perfect espresso grind.
Review by Patti / (Posted on 7/1/2020)Doesn't take up much shelf space -
Quality Worth the price

Quality great spice grinder
Review by Wendelin / (Posted on 6/6/2020)I don't grind coffee, so can't comment on that. Works great on spices, though -
Quality Very easy to use
Review by Nina / (Posted on 6/5/2020)Just love it thanks -
Quality You've got the French Press, why not also grab the grinder?
Review by Sal / (Posted on 2/12/2020)I chose this grinder because it matches my 32oz french press and functions well with it. I fill the grinder almost to capacity to get the exact amount of coffee I need for one press. I pulse for a few seconds, tap the grinder, check the coarseness, and pulse again if needed. The coarseness can be uneven because I fill the grinder nearly to the top, but tapping it halfway helps. I don't clean it often, just tap the grounds directly into the press and let whatever stays mix with the next batch. If you want a precise, uniform grinder, this is not for you. But if you're happy to just eye it, then this should be it. -
Quality It works!
Review by otto / (Posted on 1/24/2020)We bought three of these grinders. One for salt, one for pepper and one for coffee. An excellent product! Would definitely recommend for future potential buyers. -
Quality The Greatest. Absolutely.
Review by CopperTorch / (Posted on 2/22/2018)Courant products are simply the best! Their coffee makers are durable and their customer service is exceptional. When my coffee maker stopped working, I called them and they sent me a brand new one. I have both their grinder for spices and one for coffee beans, and they have a modern look and are easy to use with just a simple button. I've tried a $1400 Jura coffee maker and a $200 Courant, and there's no comparison - I'll always choose Courant. -
Quality good
Review by KL / (Posted on 1/5/2018)This coffee grinder works well as long as you don't overfill it. Be careful when opening it because grounds can spill. It doesn't have settings for different grinds, but considering the cost, it's worth it. It still has a plastic smell after a few months of use, but it hasn't affected the taste of my coffee. It also looks nice on the counter. -
Quality Stylish personal grinder for your kitchen!
Review by Austin / (Posted on 1/28/2017)This personal grinder is great for small amounts of coffee grounds. The blade is effective for morning use and consistently grinds well. It may show some inconsistencies when using larger batches, but it's ideal for making coffee for one or two people. When I need a large amount ground up, I go to a local roaster. Some tips for using this grinder include using small amounts at a time and using specific bursts for different grind sizes. One possible improvement could be to improve the seal between the lid and the machine to prevent grounds from getting stuck between them. -
Quality Affordable Performance with Minimal Uniformity Requirement, ON/OFF Control Preferred
Review by Aphrael / (Posted on 1/6/2017)I have used a few different economy electric blade grinders, including Oster, Krupps, Mr. Coffee, and Courant . They all grind coffee similarly, although the grind is not as uniform as a burr grinder. They are convenient and fast, but the blades do get dull after a while. I end up buying a new one about once a year. They are all noisy and have a safety feature to prevent accidents and motor burnout.
I am currently using the Courant grinder and am reasonably satisfied with it. It has a deeper bowl and is heavier, suggesting a more robust motor. However, the non-removable bowl makes it harder to clean and the cover design can be messy.
I prefer this grinder because of the on/off switch design which allows me to hold it down with a weight, freeing up my hands. It does the job while I prepare other parts of the coffee. Cleaning is easy as I only use it for coffee beans and can simply use a paper towel to wipe it out. Overall, I am happy with this grinder. -
Quality Grinding my coffee! Drip, French Press, Percolator. Works great!
Review by petleopard / (Posted on 6/15/2015)After reading all the customer reviews, I can confidently say that the Courant blade grinder does a great job of grinding my coffee beans every morning. Despite some complaints about static, uneven grinds, and mess when uncapping it, I have not experienced any major issues. It does release some bean dust when removing the cap, but this is easily cleaned up. I have owned both a fancy burr grinder and a Krups blade grinder in the past, and I can say that the Courant grinder gets the job done just as well. Overall, I am very satisfied with its performance. -
Quality Works okay.
Review by Suzanne / (Posted on 6/30/2012)Good product but doesn't hold as much as other ones I have had so you need two grinds for 1 pot. -

Quality Perfect for use with a drip coffee maker or French press,
Review by RS / (Posted on 3/27/2012)This grinder is all you need for standard drip coffee makers or French presses, without the need to spend extra on a burr grinder. It can achieve a fine grind quickly and a coarse grind with just a few pulses. While the grinds may not be perfectly even, it gets the job done smoothly and quietly. It's sleek, attractive, and doesn't take up much space. The rubber outer shell makes it easy to grip, and the easy-touch grind button is convenient. The cord can be neatly rolled up underneath, and clean-up is simple with just a paper towel. Overall, this blade grinder is highly recommended. -
Quality Top Choice So Far
Review by Jasper / (Posted on 8/27/2011)I have had several coffee/spice grinders over the years, and this one is my favorite. The positioning of the blades in relation to the metal grinding cup is perfect. Some grinders have their blades set too high or too low, causing issues with grinding small items like chia seeds. The Courant does not have these problems. I only use it for seeds and spices, so I can't speak to its performance with coffee, but for my needs, it works perfectly every time. It is quick, usually taking only 5 to 10 seconds to grind most seeds and spices to a fine powder. It is also quiet, or even quieter than other grinders I've used. I highly recommend it. -
Quality Thirty-Six-Inch Cord: Definitely Not Six-Inch.
Review by Bob / (Posted on 8/2/2011)I bought this coffee grinder for its lightweight design, grippy rubber outer covering, and my positive experiences with other Courant grinders. The short cord mentioned in reviews didn't bother me too much, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the cord was actually longer than expected. The grinder does a great job at grinding coffee and is faster, more efficient, and quieter than other blade grinders I've used. After using it more, I'm even more impressed with its performance. It produces a nice, even grind in 30 seconds and handles darker roast beans well. I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend it to others. -
Quality Grinder is not recommended for frequent use - only suitable for occasional use
Review by Steve / (Posted on 6/4/2011)I'm changing my original review of this grinder. It's not just the coffee dust that causes it to fail after a month of daily use, it's the cheap and fragile internal components. I took it apart and found that the micro switch is faulty and poorly made. It costs just 19 cents for the manufacturer to buy, and I can't get current to run through it. It seems like the company is hoping to sell a lot of grinders to people who only use them occasionally, knowing that the parts won't hold up to daily use. A replacement switch costs close to $20, which is the same as the price of the grinder. It's cheap and not reliable for anything other than light occasional use.
