I found that the burner plates heat up quickly and stay hot for a long time, especially with heavy cookware. I use setting #1 to keep food warm and setting 7 to boil water. For omelets and saute, I use setting 3/4, and for browning and stir fry, I use setting 6 or 7. I have learned to adjust the temperature for my specific cookware and cooking needs over time.

I was excited to receive this double burner for my kitchen, as they are very handy to have. However, I found the design to be too big and old-fashioned for my taste. The price was reasonable, but I decided to return it and order an upgraded model that fits the decor of my kitchen. Overall, it is a good buy, but just too large for the space I intended to use it in.

The hot plate takes slightly longer to heat up compared to a regular stove top electric burner, about 3 to 5 minutes longer to bring a pot of water to boil. When reducing the heat, it takes a while for the heat to cycle down. The slow cycling down of the heat may be a plus as you can turn off the heat sooner and the rest of your food will continue to cook. Spills are easy to clean off the stainless steel surface, but cleaning spills on the plate itself is more difficult. The stainless steel surface and the knob get hot but not to the point of burning your fingers. The knob moves smoothly through the temperature selections with a light indicator that lights up when the plate has reached your selected temperature. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend this product.

This appliance is great for cooking in small spaces, heats up quickly, and is easy to clean even with daily use. It has been working perfectly for 4 months and I would buy it again if I needed another one.

I bought this stove 2 years ago and it's been great. It took a little while to heat up at first, but I got used to it. The only downside is that the glass plate just broke from the heat and I can't find a replacement. I've ordered a new one, but I think it would be cheaper to just replace the glass plate. If anyone knows how to get a replacement, that would be great. Also, I had to replace a part 8 months ago because the burner kept turning off and was hard to heat up.

I have been renting out a Mother-In-Law above the garage unit with a basic kitchen and no electric range or oven. I needed a reliable electric hot plate with a 1700watt output and good temperature control for cooking, and this one has consistently performed well for a year now.
