I'm a big fan of this rice cooker. The price is right, and the results are spot-on. As for preheating, I've just been tossing in the water and rice (using the included cup), and it's been working out fine so far.

If you're considering getting this rice cooker, don't hesitate �� just click BUY! It's hands down the best rice I've ever had. I don't even need to keep an eye; it handles everything. The rice comes out incredibly fluffy. I usually put in 2 cups of rice and water, and within 10 to 15 minutes, it's done �� never soggy or mushy. It's truly amazing �� you won't regret it! I live alone and use it every week for my dog's food and my own rice for fried rice �� and it turns out perfect every time!
