The downside is no temperature control; you get what's preset. However, the griddle won't dissapoint, the waffle iron makes fluffy waffles fast, and the donut maker makes donuts to die for

They're small and only cook on one side. Had to flip them to cook the top. Kids love them despite the limitation.
