It doesn't have a true low speed despite claims. I knew this from reviews and use a stand mixer for slow speeds, but a true slow setting would be nice. 3.5 stars.

Great Handheld Mixer for Heavy Use

Update 2022: Still going strong! I use this mixer heavily for homemade treats and it holds up well. There was a burning smell at first, which diminished over time. The slow start feature is brief but helpful. It also has cruise control for consistent speed.
