My first attempt at using this item was a disaster, as the result was a misshapen ball. The second try yielded a better looking outcome, but the taste and texture were just okay. I'm hoping that with practice, my third attempt will be a success. As a first-time bread maker, I realize that it takes some practice to get it right.

The removable paddle makes clean up easy and doesn't leave a big hole in the bread. I did have a small issue with the screen when I accidentally flung the lid back, but it was easily fixed by unplugging and plugging it back in. Overall, I highly recommend this machine!

3. The bread shape is nice but doesn't fit in a standard toaster.
4. The audible beeps for adding ingredients and removing the paddle sound too similar.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this machine and I would recommend it as a gift.

I was so happy with the outcome that I made another loaf a few days later with the same success. I plan to use the machine regularly to make white bread for toast and sandwiches. Before using the machine, I discovered that weighing the flour instead of using a measuring cup can make a difference in the outcome. I found that scooping flour into a measuring cup can cause it to pack down and add extra flour, which could affect the final result. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of the Courant CBM-5010 and would highly recommend it.
