The glass top elec range I bought a few months ago is difficult to clean when spills occur. I now use a hot plate to cook on and keep my stove clean.

I purchased this hot plate hoping it would reach high temperatures for boiling water and frying, but it takes longer than expected to heat up and doesn't maintain high enough temperatures. The burner is also smaller than anticipated. It may be suitable for warming or heating smaller pots, but not for my intended use of boiling water.
