This burner is perfect for camping, but cleaning under the heating element is a bit challenging.

Got this because my other hot plate started dying after 10 years of use. I like the looks and ease of use with this hot plate but like the other reviews say the heat control knobs get hotter than heck on this thing, the higher you set the heat the hotter they get. Other than this problem it works great. Would return and get a different one but sadly it's past my return time.

I have used this type of portable burner when I was younger and living in a studio. This model and brand is about the same as I used then. The temperature control works fine, but be aware that even if you have one of the burners turned on high, it will only reach a certain temperature before it turns off. So, if you want super hot heat that stays on high, you will not get that. On the other hand, I haven't found any sort of dish that really required the burner to stay on super hot for an extended period of time. But if, say, you were trying to bring a large vessel of water to boil, it will take awhile. The main drag in using these little burners is they are difficult to clean as you can't disassemble or take out the heating element to clean the drip bowls. So, try not to let anything boil over or you'll have to try and squeeze a rag or paper towel in between the element to clean. All of these portable burners have the same trouble unless you get into serious money. Overall, it is serving its purpose.

I was hoping to get better results with this. It does not get hot enough to boil eggs or potatoes. I can barely fry and egg!!! Not hot enough!

I say buy it i like it no issues at all, it cooks well! Easy to clean. It dose get hot around it so watch little kids.

This stove is amazing. It heats up quickly and is easy to use with the numbered knobs. It works well with different types of cookware and was a lifesaver when my gas was turned off. It's lightweight, heats up quickly, and is worth the purchase.

Works great for camping. Not easy to clean though.
