This item is great .My husband even take the mini version to work to heat up his lunch, and he loves that his food is ready by lunchtime and tastes fresh. I also love the main crock pot - it's easy to use and clean. I liked it so much that I bought a second one as a wedding gift for my daughter and her husband. It's definitely worth the price and I highly recommend it for yourself or as a gift.
