The lever on this toaster is easily pushed down, but does not always stay down. However, the toaster itself is sturdy and toasts bread well. It would be better if the plug could be stored inside the toaster instead of wrapping over the top. Overall, it should last for a few years.

After using a Sunbeam toaster for over 30 years, I had to find a replacement when it finally stopped working. After doing some research, I ended up getting the Courant 4-slice toaster and my husband and I couldn't be happier with it. It's easy to use, toasts evenly, and has a convenient lift feature. The only downside is that it only comes in black, but overall we are really satisfied with this toaster.

This toaster has been great for us so far. It's a 4-slice toaster, which is perfect for a couple. The controls are easy to use and understand, with buttons for Cancel, Frozen Items, and Bagel with clear icons. The dial for toasting level is also easy to read, and each side has separate controls. When we used it for the first time, both sides toasted evenly, and the toast came out just as we like it. It doesn't overcook the second batch of bread if you cook back-to-back slices, which is a plus. I hope this toaster lasts us a long time because it's the best one we've ever had. I definitely recommend it.

I'm impressed with the Courant toaster after dealing with bad toasters for years. We always keep them until we can't stand them anymore and then replace them. Our last one was terrible, but we stuck it out until a stink bug crawled into it. That was the perfect excuse to get rid of it. I was shocked at the prices of toasters when I started looking for a new one, but then I found the Courant. After reading many reviews, I decided to give it a try due to the price. It has only been 10 days, but we are very happy with it. The toasting is even, nothing falls through the grids, and bagels come out crispy. It's also quick. I highly recommend it!

I find the wide openings for bagels and waffles convenient and the push buttons for cancel, frozen, and bagel to be smart. I've only toasted one slice of bread so far and I was disappointed. The bread was perfectly toasted on one side but only lightly browned on the other. Maybe the heating coils need some time to break in. I purchased a protection plan and saved the original box.

The toaster's dial doesn't always accurately predict the darkness of the bread or Eggo. I usually have to set it to the highest number for medium-dark toast, and a lower number for lightly toasted. I've tried to adjust to this, but it's still frustrating.

I had to replace my old Courant 4 slot toaster because I accidentally broke one of the knobs when putting it back in the cabinet. Unfortunately, it couldn't be fixed. I really liked my old toaster, but I tried a number of different models before settling on the Courant. Despite being cheaper than some fancier toasters, it actually performs better than ones that cost three times as much. The new toaster is easy to use with nice controls, and most importantly, it toasts bread and bagels perfectly and quickly. I haven't tried the defrost cycle yet, but for the price, it's perfect for me. It may not have a fancy stainless steel design, but I bought it to toast things, not to look at. I highly recommend it, and I was not compensated for this review.

We bought this toaster to replace our old one which didn't meet our expectations. It works fine and the controls are simple to use. However, it gives off a lot of heat while in use, so we have to pull it out from under the pantry. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the sides of the bread are slightly unevenly toasted, but it's not a big issue.

This toaster has been working great for me for a while now, with no issues. The wide slots are perfect for bagels and it can toast up to 4 pieces at once. The only downside is that the crumb tray isn't very effective, so I have to wipe the counter down underneath it every day to clean up loose crumbs. Other than that, it's a great toaster.

I needed a 4-slice toaster and decided on the Courant model. It's easy to clean and fairly easy to use, with 7 light/dark selections for toasting preferences and a defrost button for frozen items. The toaster also has a toast cancellation button and 4 wide slots for various types of breads. However, I did have some difficulty initially pressing down to start the toaster. I hope it's durable enough, as it may not last long if it takes too much effort to use. Despite this, it toasts well and overall I rated it 4 stars.

This toaster initially performed well, but then it started toasting messages on our bread, leading to some strange and unsettling behavior. It seemed to be involved in a toaster resistance movement and eventually disappeared, only to return with a heartfelt note. While it works great and keeps other random toasters at bay, its odd behavior makes it difficult to give it a perfect rating.

I purchased this toaster from and it arrived in its product box without any additional protection. As a result, many of the fragile elements were broken. When I tried using the toaster, I found that it didn't work properly. It produced barely warm, raw toast in the middle with some browning around the edges. Even after adjusting the settings and trying different methods, I couldn't get it to work properly. I eventually gave up and returned the toaster. I was disappointed with the experience, as I had hoped to like the product, but it arrived broken and did not meet my expectations. I learned that some items may be fine being shipped in their product boxes, but fragile toasters are not one of them.

The toaster has been working fine, although there was a strange smell the first time we used it. We checked for any leftover stickers but couldn't find the source of the smell. The second time using it, there was no smell. The cord is a bit short, but the toaster works fine. However, the delivery of the product was odd. The package was delivered late at night by a delivery driver in a beat-up old minivan who didn't follow my delivery instructions. Please do better on shipping, rest is fine

This product didn't work properly. It only toasted one side of the bread, and when the timer was up, it popped the toast straight up out of the slots, like something from an I Love Lucy episode. I think I got a broken toaster, but to be fair, the other half of the toaster works fine.
