I bought this toaster a couple of months back because I needed to replace my large 4-slice toaster. I'm happy with my purchase as this new toaster is the perfect size and easy to store. It works really well too.

This toaster is not suitable for large slices of bread as a quarter of the bread sticks out while toasting.

I was initially pleased with the toaster I received on Sept 3, 2023, but was disappointed to discover that the inside coils stopped working on both sides after the return window had closed on 10/2. The toaster now only toasts on the outside coils, and to make matters worse, it quit completely on 10/21. I do not recommend this product due to its poor quality.

I purchased this toaster because it had the lowest wattage I could find. We use it in our RV when we're off the grid and need to conserve our batteries. We power it through an inverter and so far it has worked well.

This toaster has a nice, simple design that matches my appliances and is one of the least expensive options available. It has wide slots for bagels or thick bread, but the crumb tray is small. It also has a cord wrap underneath, which is a novel idea, but unfortunately, there's no place to put the plug, rendering it useless. Overall, I would give it one star off for that.

The toaster is fine, it works, but the length of the bread slots are just a hair too short for the wider sliced breads (like the Pepperidge Farm style ones that are much more rectangular than square). So when you push down the toaster lever to start the heating elements, the bread doesn't go down because it's like a quarter inch too wide so it's wedged in place in the slot. You have to use your fingers to push the bread down. This morning I was in a hurry and I forgot to push the bread after I pushed the lever, so it never went down, and I ended up with two slices of toast whose bottom two-thirds were toasted and whose top thirds were raw. A minor annoyance but I wouldn't buy this again.

This toaster is a sleek and space saving appliance. It looks and functions very well. It's a good buy.

If you are in the market for a toaster that only has 1 knob (though it is hard to tell what the level is) you adjust for how light or dark your toast will be, a near impossible way to remove crumbs, a very short cord (not a problem in our house though), and is so lightweight that your average piece of bread weighs more, then this is the toaster for you! Cheaply made, and I imagine will not last too long either. But who knows. We have spent much more on a toaster, only to have it break within a few months, so we decided enough was enough. If most toasters made now are going to break within a year, then we will stop paying more than $20 for one. Side note: My parents are still using the toaster they were given on their wedding day, and I am in my 60s! Whatever happened to quality?

I have been searching for a toaster that can toast both sides of the bread evenly. The third toaster I bought after returning the one mentioned in this review does an okay job in that aspect. I used to own a GE open-face toaster that worked great, but it seems like it's not being sold anymore.

I apologize for bothering my coworker, but I brought this toaster to the office. Let me tell you, while I was typing this review, a colleague came in and commented as he opened the door across from me, You must be toasting again. I can smell it from the other end of the hall. When I read reviews on Amazon and see someone complaining about a product, I often think that person is exaggerating. Let's face it: people like to complain. So when I read a review of this toaster that mentioned a strong smell, I assumed it would have a mild odor, but that was not the case. And before you tell me to read the manual and follow the instructions, please know that I did. This is the first time I've experienced something like this. I haven't put any real food in yet because it still has a horrible smell... like chemicals that you wouldn't want to inhale, let alone contaminate your food. The instructions say that the odor will dissipate after toasting nothing several times. I have done this, but the smell still lingers. I have been using this toaster for a few months, and every morning I press the button, hoping that the horrible smell will finally go away. I have toasted nothing in it dozens of times, and the smell is still there. If I still have the box, I will return it. Save yourself the trouble and the smell by spending a little more on a toaster that doesn't smell like the inside of a chemical plant. I can't return it, so I'll keep using it for now (assuming I don't get fired)... I'll let you know when the smell goes away.

Works great. Just like with any new toaster, had to experiment with settings to figure out how to get it to toast exactly how I like it.

This was quite an inexpensive toaster, so I can't expect too much. The main problem is that it toasts very unevenly. One end of the slice is very toasted and the other is barely done.

It was not easy to find a WHITE toaster locally so I ordered this one on Amazon. I have not used it since I purchased it as a Christmas gift. The prices was right, looks good but seems rather cheaply made. Very light-weight - not sturdy at all but fine for the reasonable price.

Perfect for regular slices of bread, but don't try putting your fancy wide bread in it. If you only toast mostly square bread or things smaller than that, this is the toaster for you.

why don't they make a toaster to last for a long time does the job but bagels are tight and don't come up highenough

I was looking for a simple nicely designed toaster and I found it. The outside shell is plastic that stays cool to the touch. It has several settings and when the knob is turned counter clockwise it stops the toaster.

Good but the slots are a bit small and the off/on button a bit hard to push.

I love this thing. It toasts fine but sometimes I have to push it down a second time if I don't have it set high enough. I am impressed. For the price I am totally surprised.

It arrived in a very snug carton. We use it nearly every day, and, for the price, it's hard to beat.
It doesn't brown perfectly, but that's ok in our house. You can have very light or very dark, or multiple levels in between.
It's a simple toaster...goes down and up...makes bread into toast.
If that's all you need, this could be the toaster for you.

UPDATE: it seems that most of the "browning" is done from the coils along the outside of the toaster. Therefore, I sometimes run
a piece through twice. But then, I like my toast very dark. My wife doesn't do that since she likes her toast very light.

It works, and it's fast and light, and it looks good, but it's finicky. The lever to start toasting has to be pulled down like 10 times until it sticks and the toasting cycle starts. It's a little bit annoying

I did not realize that this toaster, which is a product of Hamilton Beach, would only last less than a year. It stopped working shortly after I received it.

This product doesn't feel very sturdy and seems a bit cheap.
