This is a budget-friendly hot plate we bought for our kitchen renovation. It works okay, but it's not very powerful. It's a cheap appliance for temporary use. Update: it can definitely boil at least two quarts of water in less than five minutes with a lid on. I'm actually impressed.

Pro: small, cheap, inoffensive looking, works (mostly). It allows us to avoid using a big gas stove that puts a lot of combustion products into the air even with fans running, so it serves that need. We've been cooking entirely on it for 3 yrs.
Con: the controls are unwisely close to a burner and angled to put your fingers closer to the hot pan/burner. A bigger issue is the internal wiring is just crimp-on connectors, and they come loose. Ours failed twice in two years; both times opening it up revealed a crimped connection had simply fallen off. The third time, my wife spotted flames and sparks inside, purely by luck, thru a tiny hole while cooking. This could easily have caused a fire. I opened it up, and again, the cheap crimp-on had gotten loose but not quite detached. This is in a stationary (at home) setting, not in an RV or anything. So, beware of loose connections. Those connections should have been more permanently attached (spot weld, hi temp solder, whatever). I don't have the tools here to do more than tighten the connector, but after 3 times it's clear it will become loose soon under normal everyday at-home use.

I've been using it for awhile now. It serves it's purpose. The only thing I don't like is that the pots and pans I have slide around on the burners. Personally I don't know if it's the burner or the pans, but it happens with all of them. I would buy it again.

my only complaint is it clicks whether plugged in or not. We didn't realize it came unplugged and thought it was broken. I like it. The burners are slippery so I used a file to rough them up so our pots would not slide off

Liked that it was a coil burners, but took too long to get hot using both at the same time.

Not a big review writer, but had to give props to this little workhorse. I can do bacon and eggs in the morning, and have cooks 2 5-gallon pots at the same time with both boiling. It���s not fancy, and I didn���t want fancy (stovetop shattered and needed a temp fix), but it gets the job done. Heats up quickly. Would buy again.

Heats well. Knobs get very hot, so be sure to protect your fingers! Meets the need.

cooks the food evenly. I am not sure how it would do long term because it is cheaply made but for my purposes now it works just fine.

Just got it a few weeks ago and works great. It does shut off and on to set the temperature.

Exactly as advertised. Worked great for saut��ing, can boil a small pot of water. Struggles to bring a medium pot of water to a full boil but still effective for cooking. Take it outside the first plug in due to it burning off chemicals. It tells you this in instructions.

My kitchen is being remodeled, so I bought this to use until it is put back together. I boil water every morning for coffee and it seems to take forever. The burners are not very big. The product is adequate and does perform its function.

This seems to take forever to heat things up to boiling or cooking temperatures but if you're just going to use it to keep things warm or simmering then I guess it would be ok.
