Quality Versatile Appliance for Large Pancakes
Review by Patrici / (Posted on 2/24/2024)If you like large pancakes, this is the appliance for you. We made nice big blueberry pancakes from scratch yesterday and they were yummy. It did take about 5 minutes of cooking time, but I'm good with that. Having family over for breakfast makes this appliance a must, since the stovetop is not needed. We're going to try making pizza and quesadillas soon. -
Quality Convenient and Versatile
Review by Daddo / (Posted on 2/23/2024)We use this every day for various meals like eggs, sandwiches, reheating pizza, and more. The thermostat can make the griddle a bit too hot for some things, so we added a plug-in switch for convenience. -

Quality Quick Snacks Made Easy
Review by MzGlory / (Posted on 12/29/2023)I first used mine for a quesadilla. I was amazed that the size of my tortilla was perfect for this as that I what I usually buy. They are 7-1/2" round. I did notice that the top lid of the unit does not get as hot as the bottom base where you lay your tortilla or grilled cheese. For that I deduct one-star. It is a Non-stick unit but I sprayed just a bit for an egg, using the bottom base only. It did cook pretty evenly. I am happy with my purchase and think it's a great gift for anyone. -

Review by Nadiya / (Posted on 10/22/2023)It's absolutely perfect and amazing! Now my daughter enjoys making her own meals like grilled cheese, pizza, and pancakes. It's much safer than using the stove, especially for teenagers, and I never have to worry about her getting hurt. -
Quality Ideal for Small Spaces
Review by KateUSA / (Posted on 10/18/2023)I'm delighted with my purchase! Living in a small apartment means space is limited, but this griddle fits perfectly into my kitchen. I primarily use it to make French toast, eggs, and muffin pancakes, which turn out perfectly every time. It only takes four minutes per side for French toast using brioche bread. -
Quality Ideal for Toasted Sandwiches
Review by AmazonCustomer / (Posted on 10/1/2023)It was great for toasted sandwiches like grilled cheese sandwiches and hot ham and cheese sandwiches. Butter your bread on the outside of the sandwich. Then cook it and toast it. Yum! -
Quality Handy Appliance with a Minor Flaw
Review by Custom / (Posted on 8/22/2023)I bought this to make quesedillas and hot toasted sandwiches and the like for one person and it does a good job. You should know that this is not a contact grill, meaning, when you close it, the top will not press down on the food like a George Foreman grill unless whatever you put in there is super thick. The top is recessed back a bit.I had to flip a quesedilla and the bottom was very well done and the top was not. There was only a bit of brown in the center on top. I had no problem having to do that but be mindful that you'll have to flip or make very fat quesedillas. If you are using sliced bread, it may have better contact when you close it but I'm not sure yet. You can make a ton of stuff in here. Not sure I'd make a burger because I'd worry that the grease will drip off the sides but I could see cutting up a chicken breast cutlet, throwing it in there and closing it to make some grilled chicken to toss in a salad. Or toss some broccoli and cauliflower or brussel sprouts in some fat free italian dressing and putting that in there. I'm very glad that I bought the larger one because it looks like a mini item itself so I can only imagine what the mini one looks like. It fits a soft taco size tortilla perfectly. I'm taking off one star because in this day and age, no product-- especially a cooking appliance-- should be sold that does not have an on/off switch. If you are using a power strip or outlet that is not in the most convenient place, having to plug and unplug to use it is a bit of a nuisance. Pro tip: You can buy a plug that has an on/off switch on it that you can plug this unit into and switch it on and off that way. Search for wall plug with switch on Seller to see what I mean. I'm very pleased and will definitely be using this often. I do wish though that it was available in black. My kitchen has black and stainless and the red grill is a red herring but I care more about function than appearance so it's okay. -
Quality Another Quality Appliance from Courant
Review by GlutenG / (Posted on 8/21/2023)Bought this griddle seven months ago and use it daily. It heats up quickly and evenly, perfect for toasting bagels, English muffins, and making quesadillas. While it lacks temperature control and removable plates, it's a perfect fit for its price. -
Quality Performs as Advertised
Review by LoisE. / (Posted on 8/4/2023)This product indeed lives up to its claims, but ensure you're purchasing it for the right reasons. While it cooks food as promised, it doesn't necessarily outperform a traditional frying pan on low heat. It's handy for places without stoves, like dorm rooms or campers, but may not be suitable for cooking larger portions or for multiple people. Consider your needs carefully before purchasing. -

Quality Ideal Size for Single Cooking
Review by Gloriah / (Posted on 1/4/2023)I had the mini-grill by Courant but it was really too small to be very versatile. The 7-inch version is perfect for a single person and I use it very often. I've cooked sausage patties, hamburger patties, slices of ham, grilled cheese sandwiches, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, etc. The reason for 4 stars is because when I cook things like hamburger patty or sausage, I have to put a paper towel under it because some grease will drop from underneath the grill. The grill is deep enough that no grease has ever run over it so I can't imagine how it is able to drain out of the bottom? It makes it a little messy. -
Quality First Successful Quesadilla

Quality Unexpected Grease Issues
Review by Kindred / (Posted on 2/11/2021)Love this to a point. Cooked 2 burgers so far. They came out great. My only real gripe is the mess. One, it actually takes awhile to fully clean up all the grease. Two and biggest gripe is most of the grease that gets outside or should I say, underneath, is dripping, running from the screw under the bottom center. How the grease even reaches the screw from somewhere inside is beyond me. It's not getting there by running down the outside. I literally looked under and watched the grease as it dropped from that screw. Before using this next time I will try to tighten the screw in case it's loose. If that doesn't fix it then I'm gonna come back and take away all the stars. Update. Grease is not coming from the screw. It's coming from a small hole near the screw that has a tiny divider going across the hole. The hole itself leads into the bottom of the griddle. I examined the entire griddle and can not figure out how the grease entered the griddle to end up leaking from the bottom. Is it defected? Why was the hole ever put there and why am I the only one mentioning it that I know of. Seriously thinking of getting my money back. -
Quality Versatile Cooking Options
Review by stef / (Posted on 10/2/2020)I like this because it's easy to turn it on and cook quickly. I use my oversized spinach tortillas to make quesadillas. I fold over the tortilla and make a flower shape that the lid holds down and cooks from the top. So it's quick. I also fry up the meat in the pan before I put it in the quesadilla. It's a very versatile product. I think it's a little big for eggs, because it spreads out a bit. I wish the legs were a bit wider or better placed because the open lid can make it a bit tippy if I don't have it placed right. Cleaning the material is ok, but there are some seams around the edge of it that can get food in it and is harder to get it out. If you can't put water on parts of it, but you need water to clean portions I am concerned with water getting into parts that may damage the inside. So far, water hasn't damaged anything, but there is no way of knowing what would happen if it was submerged in water. -
Quality We Joined the Courant Family This Summer!
Review by IrishLa / (Posted on 9/20/2019)1st of all the colors are awesome... But we started with a tiny smallest grill then had to get the 7 inch grill. Of course we had to keep them both because they both serve their purpose AND both get used as you can see in the pictures.... if you want a small breakfast sandwich that takes 2 minutes to make, use the tiny one ...the tiny 1 can also be used to make a delish COOKIE In 7 minutes which is great for portion control.. The larger one can make 3 or 4 eggs at a time & some bacon or Spam chunks..pancakes...a killer crunchy grilled cheese..or any other sandwich...etc. You don't heat up the kitchen they're so easy to use and to clean take up little counter space & easy to store but they're so cute you want to keep him on the counter...the egg maker Courant Makes perfect hard boiled eggs in less than 10 minutes every time. I hate boiling on the stove... who needs that mess? And the pretty pink rice maker is our newest addition... Have used it 3 times now and makes perfect rice perfect quinoa and perfect Mac and cheese! The colors are fun ...the products work beautifully...they're inexpensive & take up little space and they're just perfect kithen helpers! Buy one Courant you'll want em all!!! With Christmas coming up I definitely know what Santa is giving!
