If you have a mini spatula, it helps to get them out without adding more holes. Overall, this is a great machine that makes me happy. ����

The recipe is incredibly simple, but it's important to increase the amount of milk or else the dough will be too thick and difficult to work with. The original recipe calls for 1/2 cup of milk, but I found that using 1 1/2 cups resulted in amazing donuts. I also added a topping of melted white chocolate and sprinkles, as well as a version with sugar and cinnamon (similar to churros). This little donut maker is fantastic! I've used it multiple times and the donuts always come out perfect. One thing to note is that you don't need to cook them as long as the instructions say, otherwise they will be dry and dark. I only cook them for 2-3 minutes. You also don't need to flip them over, as the top will cook just fine if the appliance is properly heated. For the cider donuts, skip the step of reducing cider on the stovetop and use thawed frozen apple juice concentrate instead - the flavor is incredible. The recipe for the cider donuts has a typo - it's 1/4 cup of yogurt. I love this product so much that I will be buying some to give as Christmas gifts.
