Quality Transform Orange Tree Harvest into Fresh Juice
Review by Lisa E / (Posted on 3/25/2023)Living in Tucson, we have fresh citrus most of the year. Picking is easy; peeling is hard. I've damaged my nails and tried many peelers, but the fresh juice benefit eluded me, leading to wasted oranges. We either have none when out of season or too many going to waste. The non-electric hand juice press changed this. It effortlessly turns fresh oranges into delightful juice. No more damaged nails or ineffective peelers. This juicer is easy to clean. I bought the black one, and it had an odor like burning plastic initially. The smell diminished over three weeks and is now nearly gone. Don't let the initial smell deter you; it disappears. This hand-operated device is invaluable in a health-focused kitchen. Cleaning is simple: remove the two shiny metal parts and wash. Rotate the inner part to easily separate them for cleaning. It's dishwasher safe too. Even without electricity, we can enjoy fresh juice. This simple, beautifully designed juicer is a must-have. I wish I had bought one sooner. -
Quality The Best Citrus Extractor for Home Use
Review by Richard / (Posted on 3/9/2023)NOTE: This is the first time I have 1) received an item from Amazon, 2) unboxed it, 3) used it, and 4) immediately reviewed it. It's THAT good. There was a pleasant surprise in the box: a statement that said: This product is guaranteed for life and, if you are ever dissatisfied, we will replace it or refund you and, you will not have to go to the post office. That is real confidence by a manufacturer, and it is warranted. This is a heavy unit, and it needs to be to perform well. Some reviews suggest stabilizing it with your second hand while squeezing. This led me to believe you'd need a firm second grip on the tool. Not so. Your second hand is mostly insurance for rare balance disturbances. This tool requires a fair amount of strength. It is not difficult for me, as a guy, to use it, but my small wife could not activate the lever. So, unless there's a guy or a stronger female in your home, or you use it when friends are visiting, I couldn't recommend it. Aside from that, buy it. Seriously, buy it. I squeezed five medium/large limes yielding over a cup of juice. The best way is 1) squeeze the half fruit, 2) lock the machine in place (this happens automatically when the lever reaches its full stroke), and 3) let the pressure push out the remaining drips for 15 seconds. I doubt this machine would work on grapefruits the contact parts seem too small. But it will handle lemons, limes, and at least medium oranges. My primary use is extracting juice for marinades, and this machine excels at that. For those with arthritis or aging hands: PLEASE don't use hand citrus squeezers. Buy this machine and give the included hand tool to your children. Also, buy several types of jar and lid openers and use them always, especially for water bottles they are very hard on your wrists.
