I'm really enjoying having a bread maker again. I received the Courant Bread Machine on Feb 6 and today, Mar 6, 2024, I'm making my 4th loaf. Unfortunately, I've been having an issue with the color choice feature. It didn't work on my 3rd loaf and now I realize it's not working at all. When I push the color button, nothing happens. Despite this issue, the bread maker itself is great and makes delicious bread.

The large loaf of bread is excellent and yields great results.

I was initially drawn to this bread machine because of its name and positive reviews. However, I found that the bread doesn't rise as much as it does with other machines, even when I make the 1-1/2 pound size. I also tried the 2 pound loaf size, but it didn't make much of a difference. I primarily make raisin bread and give most of it to family and friends, so I don't want to use extra flour for each loaf. Despite these issues, the bread does come out tasting good.

I find this bread machine to be incredibly easy to use. I primarily use it for making dough, and it consistently produces a nice, soft texture.

I have been using this bread machine for three months and I absolutely love it. It is easy to clean and works exactly as it is supposed to. The settings are simple to use and I use it frequently, so I am definitely getting my money's worth from it. This is my first bread machine and I am very pleased with my purchase. It does all the work for you, which is great.

I am extremely satisfied with this machine. It is smaller than my previous one and has multiple cycles. It runs pretty quietly and offers three different crust settings. Overall, it's a great deal for the price. I used it to make dough and then baked it in two smaller bread pans.

I initially had low expectations for the bread loaves made in this machine, following the recipes in the Courant manual. However, after finding better recipes online, I achieved better results. The machine produces very loud, high-pitched beeps throughout the cycle and when it is finished, and there is no known way to silence them. The beeps include 4 sets of 5 long beeps to indicate when it's time to add mix-ins, 10 short beeps at the end of the kneading cycle, and 10 long beeps to signal when the bread is done. These beeps are extremely unpleasant and disruptive. However, if you often make raisin or nut bread and need to know when to add ingredients from a distance, this machine would be suitable for that purpose.

I have tried out a few bread recipes using the enclosed machine. I am still looking for a recipe that will produce a lighter, less dense bread. Despite the paddle getting stuck inside the container the first time I used it, I decided to leave it in. After making a few more loaves of bread, the paddle no longer gets stuck in the machine and instead goes inside the bread each time it's done. It seems to be working well so far.
