The unit functions as intended and effectively makes sandwiches. The only issue is that the depressions (pockets) on the top and bottom are too shallow. If they were 1/4 inch deeper, it would be perfect.

I remember using a similar item when I was younger and have been really wanting a cheesy pocket sandwich with crunchy edges. This item works great and helps me make the perfect sandwich.
