This rice cooker operates based on temperature, transitioning to the warm setting when the liquid evaporates. If your rice is consistently under or overcooked, adjusting the water amount slightly can help. I found that adding a bit of oil prevents sticking and foaming, which can occur if no oil is used. I'm overall satisfied with this purchase.

So, my first attempt at brown rice was a bit of a fail and left me feeling bummed out. But I didn't throw in the towel! I decided to give it another shot, this time paying closer attention to the rice-to-water ratio. I use two parts rice (with the handy measuring cup that came with it) and then add water until it hits that sweet spot, using the good ol' "thumb and index finger" trick. If you're not familiar with this method, Google it ��� it's a lifesaver! Funny thing is, I've got this fancy, expensive rice cooker collecting dust because I actually prefer this one. Why, you ask? Well, it's quicker and cooks the rice just right every time.

It's just the right size for cooking rice for our family of three! The nonstick bottom is fantastic, preventing anything from sticking if you adjust the water level. While I mainly use it for rice, I've also tried cooking beans in it, and it works like a charm!

I wish I had bought this rice cooker earlier! After dealing with cooking rice on the stove because my old cooker broke, this one has been a game-changer. The rice doesn't stick to it at all.
