I can confirm that the complaints about the low speed not actually being low are accurate. When you switch it to 1, it really takes off like a bronco. If you don't use a very high sided bowl when beating your butter and sugar, it will end up all over the cabinets and counter. But with the right equipment, it will definitely get the job done.

With my girlfriend being a fan of food TV shows and enjoying cooking, I wanted to surprise her with a new hand mixer as her old one had stopped working. After finding a reasonably priced option online, I decided to purchase it without telling her the price. She loves the new mixer as it is lightweight, compact, and comes with a convenient storage tub for the beaters and cord. The only drawbacks she has mentioned are the stiff beater bar eject switch and the minimum speed being too fast. Despite these minor issues, she is happy with the purchase and I managed to save $80 compared to some of the pricier options she had been eyeing.

I bought this hand mixer after reading user s that said the low speed was gentle enough for mixing ingredients without making a mess. It has replaced my expensive competitor's model, which also claimed to have gentle starts. After years of struggling with splashing liquids and flour blowing out of the mixing bowl, I decided to look for a replacement. The Courant hand mixer with 5-speed settings lives up to its promise. I tested it with 3 cups of flour and compared it to my old high-end model. The Courant mixer handled the flour without causing any mess until the 4th speed setting, unlike my old mixer. I also made cookie dough without pre-mixing by hand, and the mixer did a great job. I regret not making the switch to this mixer sooner.

Initially, I found a broken piece of plastic in my hand mixer, but I was able to remove it by unscrewing the appliance. It didn't seem to affect the mixer's performance, and it did the job when my child wanted to make cloud bread. I had to use the highest setting to mix the eggs, and I didn't notice much of a difference in speed as I increased it. I don't bake often, so I won't be using it much, but for the price, I think it's a good purchase.

I recently used this small mixer to make cheesecake and found that it mixed the cream cheese quite easily. It's a bit smaller than expected, but it still has enough power to do the job. I had to replace my old mixer with this new one. It's faster than my old one, but still has a slow speed which is great for starting out slow and building up. Most hand mixers don't have a slow speed and can make a mess, but this one works great. I've had my old one for 15 years and the top speed stopped working, so I'm happy that this new one was even cheaper. Plus, the beaters from my old mixer fit this one, so now I have two sets. I prefer the heavy duty wire beaters on this mixer, as they are better for the bowls. Overall, it's a really good mixer.
