This unit is perfect for making hearty, healthy lentil soup and other simple dishes. It's also great for cooking fish, salmon, and chicken with olive oil, butter, or stock. Just be careful not to bump the ceramic crock on a marble or stone counter, as it can easily crack. If it does crack, you can use crockpot liners to prevent rust and make cleaning easier. I no longer use pots and pans, except for boiling water for pasta. I have become a full-time crockpotter and recommend it for anyone looking for an easy way to make tasty meals with little effort.
