Although I typically prefer metal kettles, I really like this one's design. The kettle has been great for making a quick cup of tea, but I was disappointed to find that the interior is made of plastic instead of glass or stainless steel. Additionally, the design of the lid's hinge in the middle makes it difficult to fill and clean.

I purchased this kettle in late November to replace my old Courant kettle. The new model has a window with white capacity-markings to show the water level and black markings to indicate the number of cups. However, after a month of daily use, the white markings have worn off and some of the black markings have smeared. I contacted Courant Customer Support and after a few weeks, they requested Proof Of Purchase and sent me a replacement kettle. The new kettle's markings seem to be holding up well after a week of use. I am happy with the customer support and the kettle's function, so I have increased my rating from 3 to 5 stars.

I find these portable kettles to be very convenient and functional. I specifically use them when I travel and want to make hot tea in my hotel room, so portability is important to me. I had a previous one that worked well, but the bottom started to develop rust-colored spots, which concerned me. I replaced it with this one. My only complaint is that the way the lid is designed makes it difficult to clean. However, I mainly use it for boiling water, so it's not a major issue. I do worry about water minerals accumulating on the bottom, so I try to let it dry upright after each use. Overall, I'm satisfied with the performance of this portable kettle.
