Ideal Small Size Slow Cooker for Portion Control

I find the small size of this appliance to be perfect for side dishes and for controlling portion sizes in small households. I mainly use it for cooking lentil stew and beans, and have found that using about half a cup of lentils or beans with one cup of water on high for three hours is perfect for 2-3 servings. I love this appliance and would highly recommend it. We use it several times a week.

I purchased this item for serving warm dips and hors d'oeuvres. It works well, but the dish heats up quite a bit and requires a pot holder to remove it from the metal container for cleaning. It's important to caution guests that the dish will be hot.

I love using the 3.5 quart pot for cooking my breakfast steel-cut oats and quinoa blend. I set it to Keep Warm before going to bed and it's perfectly cooked when I wake up. It's just the right size for one person, but also large enough for two servings.
