I purchased the donut maker because I enjoy baking and I'm pleased with the included recipe book. I tried adding extra milk based on reviews, but it didn't work well. However, adding 1-2 tablespoons of oil to the batter for the plain donuts made them turn out like real donuts. Now I'm hooked on baking mini donuts because they bake quickly and taste amazing. I've had a positive experience with Courant products, as I also own an egg cooker, griddle, and toaster that I use frequently.
