I previously had another beater that would make a mess by splattering whatever I was beating all over the counter, backsplash, and other items at the lowest speed. Despite being fairly new and expensive, I couldn't tolerate the mess anymore, so I purchased this model and am extremely satisfied with it. I would definitely recommend it.

The beaters in the blender are much smaller than expected, making it look like a toy. However, it was able to mix a box of cake mix just fine. I don't think it will be able to handle heavier items like sweet potatoes though.

If you're looking for high speed, consider another option. The 5 speed is more of a medium compared to other mixers. Overall, it's a nice mixer to use.
