This is exactly what I was looking for, and you can't beat the price.

I used to only rely on my hand held blender, or a whisk, for most of my mixing needs. However, I recently decided to get a mixer and I'm really glad I did. I tried it out last night and found it to be light-weight, easy to hold, and easy to clean. Even though I only use it a few times a year, it's great to have when I need it. However, after a few uses, I've realized that I need to look for a hand held blender with a low speed option. The mixer I have now doesn't have a low speed and tends to make a mess. I need a blender that starts out slow and can be gradually increased in power as needed.

The beaters don't stay in place when locked.
