I believe there are 5 speed options - 1 being fast and 2 through 5 being very fast. I didn't want to splurge on a mixer, so I settled for this one. It seems to do the job, although it's not anything special. Thankfully, my mixing bowls stay in place. It gets the job done without any frills.

This blender functions well, but I noticed that the mixer makes a noise when shaken after being removed from the box. It seems like something may be loose inside, but despite this, the mixer still works effectively.
