This burner worked great for about a month of daily use, but then the inner coils began to warp and eventually cracked and sparked, fortunately without causing a fire. I returned it to Amazon with their help. It's a good burner until it's not, so be cautious.

I purchased this burner for my pour over coffee pot because of the automatic shutoff feature. It boils water in under 4 minutes on medium heat and the price was right. The numbers haven't worn off yet and I can use my coffee stand again instead of my stove. I highly recommend it, especially if it's still on sale.

The product works well but the temperature control knob gets too hot to touch, and the numbers on the knob erased on day one, so it's difficult to know which setting I'm adjusting.
