High-quality second burner

This burner heats up quickly and maintains a high temperature while cooking, making it ideal for outdoor use. It's not suitable for ultra-high heat (500 degrees), but it's perfect for outdoor cooking. I use it on our back porch to fry smelly foods and keep the kids away because it's lightweight and easy to accidentally pull off.

This burner meets all my requirements for a small, inexpensive electric burner that can handle high temperatures for reverse searing meats on my porch. The only minor issue is that the temperature control knob can bind slightly with a very hot skillet, but it's not enough to affect the overall rating. It's a great burner for the price - simple but effective.

The inexpensive, uncomplicated burner heats quickly and meets my needs. However, be cautious as it stays hot for a while after being turned off and unplugged, which could be a benefit or a potential danger.

This gets very hot and is great for lighting coals, which is my main use for it. Coconut coals are fully lit in about 5 minutes, which is impressive.

I recently purchased this hot plate and found that it took about 35 minutes to boil a 1/2 gallon of water. However, I can also use my microwave to boil water in about 10 minutes and then transfer it to the pot to cook pasta. Overall, it's a good hot plate for the price. If I need to boil a larger amount of water, I can use a Coleman portable bottle top stove, which can boil the same amount of water in about 12 minutes.

The Jackery1000 Portable Solar Generator can power this burner at 1000W, providing a reliable solution for Californians facing power shut-offs. It would have received five stars if the knobs were not located so close to the burner, making it inconvenient to turn off.
