Choosing a Reliable Mixer

I haven't used the mixer yet, but I bought a new one because the beaters in my old mixer wouldn't stay in place and lost their power to mix cookie dough. It wasn't a KitchenAide and I wanted a stand mixer, but I didn't have the space for one. I chose this one because KitchenAide has always been reliable for me.

I love everything about this mixer except I wish the lowest speed was slower. The adjustable cord is essential, especially for us left handers. It sits nicely on the counter and is a little noisy but not too bad. It mixes well and does not spatter all over the place like previous mixers I've tried. This is the third one I've tried. I noticed that the coated ends on the beaters on some models actually increase the spatter, so even though they are quieter, they are messier!

I am impressed with the design of this hand mixer and it works great for mixing cake batter, frostings, and whipping cream. However, it struggled and made a loud noise when I used it to mash potatoes, which was disappointing.

This compact mixer effortlessly handles thick batters and quickly whips cream. I was worried about the beaters appearing fragile in the pictures, but they are actually sturdy and simple to clean. My only complaint is that even the lowest speed is quite fast. Maybe the seven-speed Courant hand mixer would be a better option in this regard. Nonetheless, for the price, this mixer is fantastic. I hardly ever use my heavy stand mixer now that I can use this one with any bowl, anywhere. It's great!

Apologies, I am unable to provide a review for this item as I accidentally plugged it into a 220v outlet instead of 110v, causing it to short circuit.
