I followed the instructions to heat it for 5 minutes, then boiled 5 quarts of water and it brought it to a rolling boil in 22 minutes. I use it to heat up my sparge water when brewing on my all-electric brewing station and it does the job perfectly. It brings 4 gallons of sparge water to 168 degrees in 40 minutes.

I was able to use this burner for hot pot, which is why I bought it. However, it's important to note that it has a three-prong plug.

The plate heats up quickly and stays hot, making it useful for short-term situations like a broken stovetop or kitchen renovation. However, the labels on the knobs faded quickly when cleaning, and the plate discolored easily. It's a good short-term option but not high-quality enough for long-term use in the kitchen.

This product works well for regular cooking and with an American pressure canner of 16 quarts. However, with prolonged use, it may get hot on the bottom, so it's recommended to create a space underneath it using bricks and a towel for air circulation to protect your furniture.

The heating area is smaller than the glass surface, so it doesn't heat the edge of most pots and skillets. The painted numbers on the knob are already wearing off after a couple of months of use. However, it's still a good buy for the money, so four stars.

This burner works great on my truck and doesn't draw too much power. It cooks well and the legs are high enough that I can use it on top of my burner without the bottom getting hot. It maintains the temperature well, unlike cheaper models. My only complaint is that it takes a while to cool down for storage.
