I first used mine for a quesadilla. I was amazed that the size of my tortilla was perfect for this as that I what I usually buy. They are 7-1/2" round. I did notice that the top lid of the unit does not get as hot as the bottom base where you lay your tortilla or grilled cheese. For that I deduct one-star. It is a Non-stick unit but I sprayed just a bit for an egg, using the bottom base only. It did cook pretty evenly. I am happy with my purchase and think it's a great gift for anyone.

Surprisingly, I use this griddle often. It's easy to use and clean, and small enough to store conveniently. Nothing sticks to it, and I haven't burned anything. It's well worth the money and is suitable for kids to use for snacks.
